Eligibility Criteria for PhD in Psychiatric Nursing
1. Candidates must have a Post-graduation degree in Psychology or M.Phil in the relevant field along with a minimum of 55% or above marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
2. Candidates are required to clear the common entrance exam held for this program.
3. However, some reputed colleges/universities also conduct a counseling round, consisting of group discussions and personal interview sessions for selecting the eligible candidates.
4. Candidates need to complete the compulsory rotating internship or are required to have a work experience of a minimum of 5 years as a professional in the field, holding the senior position.
Admission Process
1. Admission to the Ph.D. program shall be based on the student's marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the respective department or school of the particular university or institute.
2. Those candidates who have completed the GATE/NET/SET/ M.Phil/JRF Examination in the pertinent subject of the apex bodies as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT will be exempted from the Entrance Test.
